Leica Camera AG (Solms, Germany) raised the bar another notch with the introduction of the new S2 digital SLR. The professional level Leica S2 features a 37.5 megapixel, 30?x?45mm sensor that is actually 56 percent larger than full frame. Among its other advanced features is a new dual shutter system with in-body focal-plane shutter for fast lenses and in-lens leaf shutters for high flash sync speeds. It also features an ultrahigh-precision autofocusing system, a fast Maestro image processing system, and a new series of lenses that are specifically designed for the highest possible performance with the new sensor.
