21 Megapixel Canon DSLR Features HD Movie Recording Capabilities
Canon U.S.A. (Lake Success, NY) recently introduced the EOS 5D Mark II Digital SLR camera, the company’s long-awaited successor to the popular EOS 5D. The improved 5D features a full-frame, 21-megapixel CMOS sensor, full HD video at 1920?x?1080 pixel resolution, the company’s advanced Digic 4 imaging processor and expanded light sensitivity that ranges from ISO 50 to ISO 25,600. The new DSLR has a 15-point Autofocus (AF) sensor with nine selectable AF points, six additional Assist AF points, and AF microadjustment technology for superior autofocus performance. It also features a large, 3-inch clear view LCD screen with 920,000 dot/VGA resolution, peripheral illumination correction when shooting JPEG images and enhanced Auto Lighting Optimizer technology. The Canon EOS 5D Mark II has a body-only retail price of $2699. A kit version with the EF 24–105mm f/4L IS USM zoom lens has an estimated retail price of $3499.
