Nik Improves Viveza Software
Nik Software (San Diego, CA, www.niksoftware.com) is marketing the latest version of its award-winning Viveza plug-in. Now in version 2, Viveza builds on the application’s selective U-Point technology by adding controls that perform the same functions on a global basis. The updated application includes new levels and curves adjustments, a new shadow-recovery tool, and a new tool that makes fine detail structure enhancements possible. Viveza 2 supports Smart Filters and the Selective Brush tool in Photoshop, and multi-image capabilities in Lightroom and Aperture. It also supports 64-bit imaging in Microsoft Windows. Viveza 2 lists for $199.95, however it’s a free upgrade for customers who purchased the plug-in after September 22, 2009. Otherwise, the upgrade costs $99.95.
